Set up a Google account. This is important because it gives you access to spectacular free tools like Google Analytics and Google’s Search Console. If you already have a Google account (a Gmail address will work!), take today off. You earned it for being so prepared. ;-)
Think you have a Google account but aren’t sure? You can use the Password Forgotten page.
- Enter the email you think is yours, and click Next.
- If the message says ‘No account found with that email address’, you can start over from the beginning.
- If your email already exists, you can follow the prompts to reset your password and regain access to your account.
Let’s assume you need to register a new Google account! Don’t worry, these accounts are free. Simply follow these directions:
- Go to Google's New Account page.
- Fill in the form! Pick a professional sounding username based on your real name or business name. Also, be sure to choose a unique and secure password.
- Follow the prompts to verify your account using a unique password sent to your phone. If you don’t do this you may not have full access to its features.
