Using your Google Account from yesterday, make sure your account gives you access to Google’s Search Console. Here’s how:

Visit the Google Webmasters homepage.

Click on the Search Console button.

Follow steps to login using your Google Account.

At this point, you should see a ‘Welcome to Search Console’ message. For now, you only need to know how to get to this page. Bookmark the web address in your browser for easy access later!

Next, let’s set you up with Bing’s Webmaster Tools.

Visit Bing’s Webmaster Tools homepage.

Click the Sign Up link below the Sign In button.

Fill out the form to create a Microsoft account. You can use your Google Account email from yesterday in the username field! This will make things less confusing.

Check your Google Account email and verify the new Microsoft account.

This process should lead you directly back into Bing’s Webmaster Tools page. If not, you can revisit the Webmaster Tools homepage and click Sign In.

You’ll see a similar looking dashboard with the option to add your website. We’ll come back in a few days to actually add your site on Google and Bing.
